Palm Sunday Even
“12 to 25??? This event is for YOU! On Sunday 9th April, RCAG Youth will taking a group of young people to a Palm Sunday celebration in Kinnoull, Perth. Don’t worry…although we will be journeying with Christ, we will be swapping the donkey for the luxury of the coach. The coach will be departing St Andrew’s RC Cathedral @ 12noon and return for 7pm. 40 Days for Life Glasgow
The peaceful prayerful Lenten prolife vigil outside of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow will hold its last vigil hour from 7pm till 8pm on Saturday 8th April 2017. During this hour, a silent candle lit hour will commemorate the loss of almost half million children to abortion in Scotland since the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act (ISD Online).  The following day, Palm Sunday 9th April, there will be a closing public event in George Square at 3pm. The 40 Days for Life Campaign stands in solidarity with the women, children and men whose lives have been damaged by abortion. Please come along and be a witness to hope for a culture of life here in Scotland.

Rite of Children’s Baptism: Important information
About two years ago, Archbishop Tartaglia gave permission for baptism to be administered to children between the ages of1 month to 14years using the Rite for Children’s baptism. What this means is that teenagers under the age of fifteenth are no longer required to do Catechumenate programme before being baptised. For more information on this please contact the Fr Anthony.
Holyrood RC Secondary School 80th Anniversary. 
Tuesday 25th opens our 80th Anniversary Exhibition in Scotland Street Museum.  This time with all our photos and memorabilia from the past.
On Wednesday 26th April, we have our Afternoon Tea in Number 10 Restaurant in Queens Drive from 1.00 - 4.00 pm. Tickets £12.00 available from the School.
Our Former Pupil Function on Saturday 29th April takes place from 8.00 pm until midnight with a hot buffet, music, bar and a school quiz!  Tickets are £15.00 All tickets available from the School – phone: 0141 582 0120
Our special collection for SCIAF last weekend raised the most generous sum of £903.00. Many thanks to all of you for your wonderful generosity. Please remember to return the WEE BOX during Holy Week.

Tickets are now on sale at the back of the church for our annual Easter Raffle.
Parish Family Fun Night - Friday 21st April 2017
There will be a family fun night in the Hall on 21st April. Quiz, Karaoke, Irish Bingo, Music, Dance and lots more. Tickets available from the back of the church - £2 for adult and £1 for children which include a light supper. There will be a bar available.
New Gift Aid Envelopes for 2017/18
People who use the Gift Aid envelopes please collect your new Gift Aid Envelopes from the back of the church. I would like to thank everyone who has signed up for the Gift Aid Scheme, whither using the Envelopes or paying by Direct Debit. Last year we received £2,500.00 back from the Inland Revenue. [This is money for nothing!]. To join the scheme, you need to be a tax payer then we are allowed to claim back 20% of your contributions from taxman.
