Parish Finance
Last weekend’s income was:
Offertory Collection: £462.00 & 2nd Collection: £191.00. Many thanks once again to all parishioners for your continuous financial help to the parish and to the Archdiocese. Our second collection this weekend is taken up in support of the sick and retired clergy of the Archdiocese.
FFC (Fabric and Finance Committee) Meeting
The church interior painting is now completed. The blockages in the church toilets are now repaired. The Presbytery roof is in need of repair and we urgently need a new boiler for the Hall. We are hoping to have a couple of special collections, after lent, to help towards the cost of the new boiler.  Further information to follow.
The Flourish (March Edition)
The March edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
Lenten Alms
During all the Sundays of Lent, (with the exception of 4th Sunday of Lent: 31st March S.C.I.A.F Sunday) our second collection, which forms part of our ‘Lenten Alms’ is taken up in support of our sick and retired clergy of our Archdiocese. Many thanks for your concern and kindness towards them.
Sacrament of Reconciliation—26th March 2019
Our parish Primary 3 schoolchildren will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (First Confession) on Tuesday March 26th at 7.00pm in St Martin’s church. These Pupils are invited to attend two (2) preparation sessions in the church. These will take place on Saturday 16th and 23rd March from 10.30am-12.00pm in the sacristy in St Martin's church. We look forward to welcoming you there.
Prayer Partners Wanted
Our Youth Group members are working towards achieving the Pope Francis Faith Award. Our P7s are almost at the end of this 2 year journey learning about and using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. To support them in their efforts we would like to invite you, our parishioners, to support them with your prayers. If you would be able to remember one of our young people in your prayers please sign your name. In return, we will pray for you at our Youth Group meetings and Youth Masses. Thank you for your support and prayers.
New Gift Aid Envelopes - (shall be available next weekend)
Thanks to all Gift Aid members who use the Envelope and Direct Debit systems – Last year we received £4,361.69 in Gift Aid from the Government. (this is money for nothing). If you pay tax and wish to join please collect a form from the sacristy.
S.C.I.A.F—Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (31st March 2019)
Make big changes happen with your WEE BOX. Please remember to pick up one this Lent. Together we can end poverty.
SSVP (St Vincent de Paul) Meeting.
The West Dumbarton Group of SSVP will have their meeting in our parish on Wednesday 13th March, 2019. It starts with the holy Mass at 7.00pm.
Praying with Imagination

Mass of St Patrick
The annual Mass for the Feast of St Patrick will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral on Saturday 16th March at 11.00am.  Archbishop Philip Tartaglia will be the principal celebrant. All welcome. Please come early; you will be welcomed by an Irish piper, followed by music from St James the Great Ceilidh Band.  There will also be a Festival Family Day in Merchant Square from 12pm – 5pm.

How Can We Hope? -  Lessons from the Middle East. A talk by Father Timothy Radcliffe, OP (former master of the Dominican Order and outstanding communicator of the Catholic Faith)– Lecture Theatre 213, St Andrew’s Building, University of Glasgow,  20 Eldon Street, G3 6NH 6.30pm on Thursday 21st  March 2019 All welcome.
