Last weekend’s income was:
Offertory Collection £344.00 & 2nd Collection £286.00 Many thanks for your generosity to the parish and clergy. Highly appreciated. Our second collection next weekend (23rd / 24th) will be taken up in support of Mary’s Meals.
Our Parish Pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy Shrine Krakow - Poland
We welcome all our parishioners back from their pilgrimage to Poland. We hope they had good time and are refreshed both physically and spiritually to continue with the task of making Christ known and loved. We thank them also for their prayers while in Poland. 
SSVP Meeting - 18th September 2017
There will be a SSVP (Society of Saint Vincent de Paul) Mass on Monday 18th September at 7pm. All welcome. There will be a general meeting of the Group after the Mass in our parish hall.
Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Meeting- Wednesday 20th September 2017
There will be PPC meeting on Wednesday 20th September at 7pm in the Chapel House. New members welcome.
St Martin of Tours: Forty Hours Adoration - 24th -26th September 2017
The Forty Hours Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament for our parish will begin on the 24th September (instead of the earlier scheduled dates—11th –13th) The Blessed Sacrament will be enthroned at the end of our 10.00am Sunday Mass (24th) until 4.15pm. On Monday 25th and Tues. 26th, the Blessed Sacrament is enthroned after 9.30am Mass until our Service of Prayer, Reflection, and Adoration at 7pm.
To enable as many parishioners, as possible, to enjoy time before the Lord a Family Holy Hour has been planned on the same Sunday from 3.30-4.30pm. The aim of this is to support our youngest members to participate in this special time in the parish. It is open to everyone. Please come along and support our young people.
Mary’s Meals. Annual Raffle and Rags to Riches. [Cloth Collection - Sunday 24th September 2017]
Mary’s Meals will be in our parish 23rd and 24th September for their annual raffle and rag to riches clothing collection. The van will collect from St Martin’s on Sunday 24th after 10am Mass. Mary’s Meals are only able to collect textiles including rags but not bric-a-brac and are unable to collect in the evening.

Holy Mass for Newly Married Couples of 2017
Archbishop Tartaglia will celebrate Holy Mass for the newly married couples of the archdiocese in St Andrew’s Cathedral on Sunday 8th October at 3pm. All couples of the archdiocese married during the past few years are invited.
Beginning Experience
The Beginning Experience are holding a residential weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood. We welcome Fr Chido back to our parish
Fr Chido will be in our parish from 1st –11th October 2017. While in the parish, he will use the opportunity to thank the parishioners for their generosity and kindness towards the pupils and students of Stella Maris Academy in Nigeria. He still solicits our assistance for the continued upkeep of these children.
AGAP (Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project)
AGAP Film and Faith Club will meet at 1pm for a Matinée and at also at 7pm on Thursday 5th October at St Mungo’s Retreat House, next to St Mungo’s Church, Townhead. 52 Parson Street, G4 0RX. This month’s film is “Hacksaw Ridge” (2016) Cert. 15. New members welcome. Totally big screen and speakers. Tea/coffee and chat.
Lectio Divina Dramatic: A new initiative from AGAP to encourage reflection upon the Word of God in Sacred Scripture through drama, imagination and prayerful reading. All are welcome. Meets on the 1st Tues of the month. Next meeting will be Tues 3rd October at 7.30pm at St Mungo’s Retreat Centre, G4 0RX.
