ACN #RedWednesday Event

All religious intolerance is wrong and for too long the world has ignored religious persecution. Aid to the Church in Need would like to invite all parishioners to our #RedWednesday Event. For full event details, please visit:  Venue: The Fairfax Somerville Room, The Scottish Parliament, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh EH99 1SP. Date: Wednesday 27th November. Time: 5.30pm - 8pm. Entrance is free. For security reasons you must be registered for this event.
St Francis and St Clare Prayer Group
Are you aged between 18-35? Come along to Blessed John Duns Scotus, 270 Ballater Street, Glasgow G5 OYT on Wednesday 27th November at 7-9pm. St Francis and St Clare warmly invites you to an evening of prayer, intercessions, formation, talks and sharing.
An Evening Retreat
‘Jesus Heals’ – Monday 16th December 6pm – 9pm in Holy Cross Church, 113 Dixon Avenue, Crosshill, G42 8ER. One thing that we share, whether we are 10, 45 or 85, is that we are all in need of ‘healing’, whether in body, mind or spirit. Each one of us, at times, needs to experience God’s loving mercy, which gives encouragement, renewal and refreshment to our faith. You are invited to an evening retreat, which will include a healing Mass, preaching and an opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration. Fr Jilto George CMI will lead the Retreat, which provides an ideal opportunity to prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus at Christmas. Members of the Syro Malankara Community will share the evening with us. Please come along to share the experience and encourage a friend to come with you.
Advent Day of Confessions
On Thursday 19th December priests will be available all day in Saint Andrew’s Cathedral (from 7:45am – 5:45pm) for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Come home for Christmas!
Thought for the day
Change is not an option because nothing remains the same. What is optional is how we respond to change. The Christian project—so apparently static and settled—is actually about the most revolutionary change which we call conversion. Conversion does not mean improving this or that in my life but resetting my whole compass. Jesus’ foundational teaching is the invitation to convert and believe the Good News. For each of us, this is possible only because of our encounter with Jesus himself. Only in the light of that personal encounter does discipleship make sense; only in the light of personal relationship is true conversion of heart possible at all.
Please pray for:
