This Sunday (Fourth Sunday of Lent) is SCIAF collection and this is the main time for their fundraising in the Liturgical year. The income so raised is essential for the maintenance of their long-term development work in countries year after year. The Bishop’s Conference of Scotland has asked Bishop Toal to write to all parishes urging people to be extra generous in their donations on this SCIAF Sunday especially in the face of the current East African food crises occasioned by famines. You can also give to this special Appeal via their website, or telephone or post ( / 0141 354 5555 / SCIAF 19 Park Circus, Glasgow G3 6BE).
