The quarterly parish council meeting comes up on 3rd September 2018 in the chapel at 7pm. All welcome.

The August edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
Forty Hours Devotion 9th—11th September 2018
The Forty Hours Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament for our parish will begin on 9th September. The Blessed Sacrament will be enthroned at the end of our 10.00am Sunday Mass (9th) until 4.15pm. On Monday 10th and Tues. 11th, the Blessed Sacrament will be enthroned after 9.30am Mass until our Service of Prayer, Reflection, and Adoration at 7pm. The evening services will be presided over by Fr Chido.
SSVP Older Person’s Outing. Wednesday 10th October 2018.
SSVP have planned an outing: - A one hour cruise on board the ASTINA on Loch Lomond. Visit to Loch Lomond Homes and Garden for a meal and browse round after. Please sign up on the list at the back of the church.
'Power in my Hand': Save the Date 
This is an advanced notice that we have secured a screening of this new, powerful and widely acclaimed film about the Rosary in St Martin's Church Hall on 8th October at 7pm as part of October devotions programme. More details to follow in due course.
Mary’s Meals
Mary’s Meals will visiting our parish on the weekend of 22nd & 23rd of September 2018. They will sell raffle tickets after all the Masses that weekend. Tickets cost £1 each. You can assist by donating any unwanted clothing (including belts/bags/shoes) or household textiles (including curtains/bedding)—BUT NOT DUVETS OR PILLOWS. The van will collect textiles after the Sunday morning Masses only! 
Pope Francis: A Man of his Word
A screening will take place at Vue Cinema on 30th August 2018 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from or you can pay at the door. There will be a free bus leaving from Saint Andrew’s Cathedral at 6.30pm. Free proceeds of this screening will help bring 12 young people to Scotland from the US as part of the National Evangelization Team (NET). These young people leave behind job, family and friends to devote nine months to working in our Catholic schools.
Sankta Maria Church Choir Sweden
A programme of traditional and sacred choral music will be held in Saint Patrick’s Anderston on Saturday September 1st at 7.30pm. Free Admission. All Welcome.
SCIAF Charity Car Wash
A charity car wash in aid of SCIAF will take place on Saturday 1st September from 10am-2pm in the Car Park of the Immaculate Conception church, 2049 Maryhill Rd, Glasgow, G20 0AA. Minimum donation £5. All welcome.
20-40 Network Presentation Skills Event: Aged 20-40?
Would you like to develop your presentation skills? Why not come along to our workshop with Host and Presenter, Greg Summers, who has worked with the likes of Olly Murs, Gary Barlow and John Bishop. 40 Days for Life Annual Reunion on Saturday 1st September 2018
Following the September 1st, First Saturday Devotion which begins at noon prior to 1pm lunchtime mass in St Andrew’s Cathedral the annual 40 Days for Life reunion will take place in the Eyre Hall, Archdiocesan Office, 196 Clyde Street, Glasgow on Saturday 1st September from 2pm till 4pm. After mass tea & coffee will be available for all those who took part in the prolife prayer vigils over 40 Days for Life during Lent 2018. Please consider taking part in 40 Days for Life during next Lent 2019 Following the Consecration of Scotland to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 2017 and the Rosary on the Coast this year we continue to pray publicly for a culture of life here in Scotland and around the world. St John Paul 11 wrote in Evangelium Vitae (EV) ‘What is urgently called for is a general mobilization of consciences and a united ethical effort to activate a great campaign in support of life. All together, we must build a new culture of life: EV para 95.
Annual Novena in honour of our Lady of Sorrows.
This year’s Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows will take place from Friday 7th to Saturday 15th September in Saint Mungo’s Church, 52 Parson Street, G4 0RX. Weekdays 12.15pm and 7.30pm; Saturday 12.15pm and 6pm and Sunday 12 noon and 7pm. All welcome. (Confession and Night Prayer after weekday evening sessions).
Holy Mass for newly Married Couples
Archbishop Tartaglia will celebrate Holy Mass for the newly married couples of the Archdiocese in Saint Andrew’s Cathedral on Sunday 7th October at 3pm. All couples of the Archdiocese married during the past few years are invited.
