The April edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
Lenten Alms  
During all the Sundays of Lent, (with the exception of 4th Sunday of Lent: 31st March S.C.I.A.F Sunday) our second collection, which forms part of our ‘Lenten Alms’ is taken up in support our sick and retired clergy of our Archdiocese. Many thanks for your concern and kindness towards them.
Sacrament of Reconciliation—26th March 2019
We thank all those who helped in preparing our Primary 3 schoolchildren for their Sacrament of Reconciliation, and all those too who attended the celebration. May god reward every one of you abundantly.
Prayer Partners Wanted
Our Youth Group members are working towards achieving the Pope Francis Faith Award. Our P7s are almost at the end of this 2-year journey learning about and using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. To support them in their efforts we would like to invite you, our parishioners, to support them with your prayers. If you would be able to remember one of our young people in your prayers please sign your name. In return, we will pray for you at our Youth Group meetings and Youth Masses. Thank you for your support and prayers.
Altar Servers Fundraising for New Albs
The altar servers would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the anonymous donor who has donated generously for their new albs. They are delighted and very grateful for this very kind gift. As part of the continuing fundraising exercise, they are holding a raffle for an Easter hamper full of goodies to help make Easter eggstra special. There is also a 100 square available: choose your number (or numbers) and once full the winning number shares the prize pot. Thank you to everyone who has supported the altar servers.
Youth Group Shadow Play
The Youth Group's shadow play of Mary's Way of the Cross has been rescheduled due to a diary date clash with Mother's Day. It will now be on 14th April at 7pm in the church hall. All welcome to share this evening of reflection and prayer with our young people. The youth group will be raising funds for the 'What If' Quarriers charity supporting homeless young people through donations for light refreshments and a raffle.
Mothers’ Day. 31st May 2019
We wish all our mums a very special day in the company of your family and loved ones. Many thanks to you all for your love and sacrifices for us all. Happy Mothers’ Day.
Easter Raffle
Tickets are now on sale at the back of the church for our annual Easter Raffle.
New Gift Aid Envelopes – last year we received £4,361.69
New envelopes are now available in the porch. If your name has been omitted or if you pay tax and would like to join Gift Aid see Fr Anthony - forms in the sacristy.
Sick and Housebound Visits
The season of Lent is a time to reflect and prepare for the Easter celebrations. If there is someone you know would like a home visit from the Priest or Eucharistic Ministers, please let Fr Anthony know. You may phone him on 01389 758880.
Lenten Day of Confessions 
A Day of Confessions will take place in Saint Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, on Thursday 11th April, from 7.45am until 5.45pm.
The Passion – Film Night
To help us focus on our Lenten journey - The Passion will be shown in our hall on Wednesday 10th April 7pm. Over 18s. (Donation).
S.C.I.A.F—Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (31st March 2019)
On this SCIAF Sunday please pray for the young women around the world. Today, we especially think of Lydia and her family, who are on the WEE Box. May their story continue to inspire us in the fight against poverty. Please give what you can to SCIAF collection today.
